Amitabh Bachchan is looking uber-cool in his stylish avatar in Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and AB Corp's Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap , complete with scarves, jazzy shirts, designer denims, branded glares and even two watches! Yes...two watches it is! And this was none other than Bachchan's personal touch to the styling of his character in the film. Not many know that AB is very fond of wrist watches and is sometimes spotted wearing 2 at a time! So when he turned up wearing 2 watches on the first day of the Bbuddah shoot, he left everyone around amused by this unique style. At that moment, director Puri Jagannadh came up with the idea of Bachchan sporting two watches throughout the movie considering his flamboyantly stylish character. Needless to say, Big B was more than happy to mix some of his own personal style with his on screen style and will be seen wearing two watches throughout the movie! Laying to rest all the speculations regarding the ill health of his Superstar Father-in-law Rajinikanth, actor Dhanush tweeted an image of the superstar in his hospital room at the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai. The picture shows Rajinikanth alongwith his daughter Aishwarya. The superstar's son-in-law Dhanush, tweeted, "SS in d hospital. He is rocking. This pic is 4 his fans. Please continue your routine life. Don't believe rumours. Don't do anything to yourselves. I request the media people to post this pic. So that fans will know that he is ok and they will be at peace. SUPERSTAR rocks." Readers may be aware of the fact that, recently, there were many widespread rumors (including one about Rajini's death) amongst many other things. We are sure that this pic will surely serve as a slap to all the rumor mongers! 

Promos of Bbuddah...Hoga Terra Baap have created frenzy. Arriving practically out of nowhere, the film has suddenly turned out to be one of the hottest of the season. Frankly, speaking, I am intrigued. I want to check out what it is all about. I know for sure that it would be one fun affair but somewhere at the back of mind, the thought that looms large is - 'Will it be a gimmicky affair?' Of course there are two school of thoughts around it. The first one is that it is of course going to be a gimmicky affair. After all that's the entire idea behind putting together this film which relies on Amitabh Bachchan of yore. Yeah, a brilliant idea this one. But then the second thought here is - 'Does the film actually mark an end to whatever creativity that Bollywood could have hoped for in a disastrous year so far that has seen just one straight forward hit ( Yamla Pagla Deewana )?' When I got on Twitter at about ten til eight this evening, I realized I was in for a finale like no other. The move to the Nokia theater can do strange things to contestants. Go to season 4, where Bo Bice seemed swallowed whole. Season 8 where Kris and Adam commanded the room in entirely different ways. And so on. I was glad that Lauren Alaina was able to perform, because at the end of the day, this is what America voted for. That said, the strain her voice has been under should be a clure to producer's that maybe they should reconsider the age limit. She's lucky her vocal chords aren't permanently damaged. It makes me angry, because an older, more experienced vocalist probably wouldn't have gone through that. Moving on. First round was the reprises. I actually find this news depressing. Out of all the Law & Order shows, my favorite has always been SVU. Because of reruns, I've literally watched every episode at least four or five times. A little while ago, it was reported that Mariska Hargitay, who has starred on SVU for 12 years, was going to be appearing part-time for the next season. She will reportedly be appearing in the first 13 episodes of the season and then appearing in a part-time capacity for the remainder of the season. Now it's been reported that Chris Meloni - who has played Elliot Stabler for 12 seasons - is leaving the show. As in, no part-time. No 13 episodes. Nada. Apparently Meloni was not able to reach a contract agreement with NBC for the show and has elected to depart. When it returns in the fall for its thirteenth season, Law & Order: SVU will be the only remaining Law & Order show on television, as Law & Order: LA was canceled by NBC and another spin-off (Law & Order

Earlier today I posted a review of Rebecca Dessertine's new Supernatural tie-in novel "One Year Gone" ( read it here ). In addition to reading the book, I had an opportunity to chat with Rebecca yesterday (you can follow her on Twitter @ DessertTime ). In case you're not familiar with her, Rebecca has worked as the assistant to Supernatural's creator, Eric Kripke, for almost four years. Apparently that length of time is quite the accomplishment. But she's not just fetching coffee all day. Rebecca's had the opportunity to do a lot of work of various Supernatural-related materials, including writing comic books for the show, another novel and working on the Supernatural magazine. When I chatted with her yesterday, we discussed how she started writing these books, why Sam and Dean have never visited Salem or other supernatural cities like it, the issue of Sam's soul and what she likes about working on the show. Supernatural is one of those shows where additional materials - tie-in novels, comic books, etc - make sense. It’s essentially a universe with such a huge mythology that allows the creation of stand-alone stories in media like novels. Titan Books has been releasing novels and season guides over a number of years. The most recent one - released today - is called “One Year Gone”, and was authored by Rebecca Dessertine. Rebecca’s intimately involved in the world of Supernatural. She’s been the assistant of the show’s creator, Eric Kripke, for nearly four years. “One Year Gone” focuses on those early few months while Dean was living with Ben and Lisa between seasons 5 and 6, as well as Sam after first getting out of Hell. The book, while not purporting to be canon, is likely as close to canon as we’ll ever see to explain that missing time period. The New Directions Glee Club finally makes it to New York for the highly anticipated Nationals. While in the Big Apple, they will do some sightseeing from Times Square to Broadway to Central Park in the all-new “New York” season finale episode of Glee airing at a special time tonight at 9pm on FOX. Rachel is elated that she is going to get the chance to sing in a National competition and the kids find out that Mr. Schue is going to be spending some time on Broadway for the summer and are not happy about it. Last week we posted five full-length versions of songs from the upcoming Glee season finale tonight. In addition to Charice returning as Sunshine Corazon (and performing with Vocal Adrenaline), the McKinley High kids will also be performing two original songs, both of which we previously posted. In tonight's season finale of Glee, the cast travels to New York City to compete in Nationals. But they'll have to go up against Vocal Adrenaline, who beat them at Regionals last year, as well as deal with the possibility that Mr. Schue might be heading off to Broadway. In my previous post, I noted that I couldn't yet find the full length versions of three additional songs. Fortunately, they've now been released, and you can listen to them below. “And then there were three: the Disney princess, television icon and hero of the grid iron” as stated by host Tom Bergeron to kick off the much anticipated Dancing with the Stars: The Finals. The show held no surprises and no drama to counter what we all knew would happen: Hines Ward and Chelsea Kane received the top scores. Hines will most likely take the trophy and Chelsea and Kirstie Alley will battle for 2nd place. Once again it seemed as if the judges got their barking orders from above, propelling Hines and Chelsea into a top scoring tie and sinking Kirstie Alley 5 points below each of them. Not to say that Hines and Chelsea didn’t deserve good scores, but Kirstie deserved better than what they gave her. All contestants received a sliver of criticism, but Hines and Chelsea still received several 10s while Kirstie received none. Come on! Kirstie actually did a cartwheel for pete's sake! They know Hines will win but are trying to level the field between Chelsea and Kirstie

The real housewives of new jerseyThe Real Housewives of New Jersey aired its second episode last night and during the aftermath of last week's christening brawl, I received some tweets and conversation about new cast member Melissa Gorga on the subject of her likability so far. In short, not too many people I talk to care for the new Housewife at this point in time. In any other case this wouldn't be such a 'newsworthy' subject, but we all know that first appearances mean everything, and for Melissa and her hubby (and Teresa's brother) Joey Gorga, the last two episodes have not been too flattering for either of their 'characters.'
