Dancing with the Stars Season 13 Cast Rumors Begin

Image
With the finale of Season 12 in the can, it wasn’t long before the Dancing with the Stars Season 13 rumors started percolating on the web. Rumors began even before the season ended, and here is the early roundup: Soon to retire co-host of Live with Regis & Kelly, Regis Philbin says he’s been asked by producers to compete. While he has been contemplating a stint on the dance program, he believes the training schedule would be “ too much ” for him. I’m sure the female dancing pros will be more than relieved to hear a definitive “no” from the nearly 80 year old Regis. Former Boxer Mike Tyson is currently appearing on Argentina’s dance show Bailando 2011 with his wife Lakiha Spicer. Fans are calling for him to join America’s Dancing with the Stars, but apparently it doesn’t pay enough for Mike. When asked about appearing on our version, Mike replied “ They don't pay as much (in America). Have check, will dance. " Maybe the producers will up the ante when they get a loa

Rahman teams up with Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, Damian Marley & Joss Stone

Image
A.R.Rahman is one artiste who keeps collaborating with various other international artists. Now the Academy Award winning singer-composer has joined hands with rock legend Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart of 'Eurythmics', Damian Marley and Joss Stone to form a band called 'Super Heavy'. The members met a year and a half ago at a studio in Los Angeles and started jamming and writing songs. They have more than a dozen songs now with each artist bringing their own individuality and musical influences. Speaking about this, Rahman says, "18 months ago Dave Stewart, Mick Jagger, Damien Marley, Joss Stone and me experimented at a studio in Los Angeles, trying to write songs which had meaning. We had a couple of more sessions after that trying to perfect every song that was written and presently we have around 16 to 18 songs and all the songs have a world sound by contributions from all of us. Dave's and Mick's incredible musicality and Joss&#

Vashu Bhagnani acquires remake rights of successful South film

Image
Vashu Bhagnani is looking Southwards! The prolific producer, who has just delivered a success in F.A.L.T.U., is acquiring the remake rights of a successful South film next. While remakes of successful South films generally stand a favourable chance in the Hindi market, Vashu also hopes to prove son Jackky's versatility as an actor with this film. Vashu is expected to decide on the South remake in a week/10 days and begin filming it from July onwards. The film in question will be an action fare, which will enhance Jackky's popularity amongst the single screen belt, after Jackky won the hearts of the urban youth with F.A.L.T.U. That's not all, Vashu plans to release the film by the end of this year, hopefully. "Will try my best to release it this year," the proud father states. Await the official announcement!

Aamir versus Big B clash is gathers heat

Image
The season's looking bright. And the promos of ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA, DOUBLE DHAMAAL, BBUDDAH - HOGA TERRA BAAP, DELHI BELLY , BHEJA FRY 2 and SHAITAN are proof that the moviegoers have lots to look forward to in the coming weeks. While the promo of ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA has caught the attention of the youth, with people even comparing this Zoya Akhtar-directed film to bro Farhan's directorial debut DIL CHAHTA HAI, Indra Kumar's DOUBLE DHAMAAL is expected to be pure fun... errr, double dose of fun and entertainment from the four jokers and Sanjay Dutt, who have Kangna and Mallika for company this time. But it's the 'D.K. Bose' song from DELHI BELLY and the 'angry man is back' promo of BBUDDAH - HOGA TERRA BAAP that's the flavour of the season. Overnight, the films are being discussed and talked about for varied reasons. Ironically, the two films are expected to release on the same day [1 July] and the opinions are cle

Emmy TV Drama Roundtable: Showrunners and Actresses

Image
Over at The Hollywood Reporter they have conducted several roundtable events in the lead up to the Emmy awards in the same way they did for this year's Oscars. The Emmy nominations won't be announced until July 14th but I think it is safe to say that many of the participants of these roundtables will feature on the ballot and they are certainly among the best that television has to currently offer. So far there have been discussions with drama actresses and drama showrunners posted and both offer up an insight in to the world of television drama. Those featured on the actresses panel are Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife), Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Regina King (Southland), Melissa Leo (Treme), Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy) and Kelly Macdonald (Boardwalk Empire). There is some crossover on the showrunners panel with the shows that these actresses work on with Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy), Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire), John Wel

Warehouse 13: First Look at Season 3

Image
Syfy's hit scripted show, Warehouse 13, returns for its third season on July 9 at 9:00 p.m. ET. But we have your first look at the new season right here! If you're new to Warehouse 13, it involves a team of government agents who work at a secret storage facility that houses very strange and mysterious artifacts and relics, all collected over time by the U.S. government. Artie Nielson (Saul Rubinek) is the Warehouse's caretaker. Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock) and Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly) were originally recruited after a run-in with a mysterious artifact to help protect the Warehouse and its contents. Claudia Donovan (Allison Scagliotti) and Steve Jinks (Aaron Ashmore) have joined the Warehouse to help investigate reports of supernatural and paranormal activity and find new objects. There are a lot of questions leading into the third season of Warehouse 13. Has Myka left the Warehouse team for good? How will newcomer Steve Jinks (recruited by Mrs. Frederic to be

Tonight on Franklin & Bash: Series Premiere

Image
TNT premieres a new comedy show tonight called Franklin & Bash, starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer. Naturally, they're too oddball lawyers, who are always ready to chase down some new clients. Peter (played by Gosselaar), is the "nice guy", who connects well with judges and juries, while Jared (Meyer) doesn't like playing by the rules and enjoys sticking it to authority figures. Despite their tactics and flair for the dramatic, they catch the eye of Stanton Infeld (played by Malcolm McDowell), who is the owner of Infeld Daniels, a top law firm in Los Angeles. He recruits them to bring some fresh blood into the firm and they end up working closely with the brilliant Carmen and agoraphobic Pindar. Infeld's nephew, Damien Karp, isn't exactly pleased with his uncle's decision to hire Peter and Jared. He's got his own plans for his uncle's law firm and they don't include the two new lawyers. Add to that the fact that Karp

Game of Thrones Ratings Solid; Memorial Day Weekend Can't Even Beat the Lannisters

Image
Memorial Day weekend is typically seen a drop in viewership pretty much across the board, right? This weekend was no different, with 21% of television viewers going off on Sunday night to have cookouts or whatever. Sounds like pretty much everything would have suffered from that, right? I mean, it was over one fifth of television viewership, gone! Everything must have taken a hit! Not so. Game of Thrones, HBO's fantasy epic series, stayed about the same for the night. The show had dipped in viewership last week with episode six, "A Golden Crown," strangely enough. But with "You Win or You Die," which had the double whammy of being offered early for HBO Go users and airing on a holiday, viewership remained at 2.4 million for the first showing, with 3.2 million for the night when you factored in the repeat immediately after. So why didn't Game of Thrones fail? My guess is that it's just a solid show with a huge fanbase that all wouldn't let a few

Misha Collins Won't Be A Series Regular for Supernatural Season 7

Image
In a move that's sure to shake Supernatural's fan community, TVLine is reporting that Misha Collins won't be a series regular on the CW's hit drama when the show returns for a seventh season in the fall. Weird, considering his character (now corrupted by the souls of purgatory) is the "new, better God," isn't it? Yes, Supernatural's season finale back in May left us with almost a certainty that there would be more Castiel. After all, he took us into the cliffhanger of the episode, telling Sam, Dean, and Bobby to swear loyalty to him or face death. Shouldn't he be a massive player next season? Well, not exactly, says executive producer Sera Gamble: “When it comes to Supernatural, our philosophy is that everyone moves in and out and weaves in and out of the story, obviously with the exception of Sam and Dean. We love Misha. We love and adore the character of Castiel. His character developed to this extent and went in this unexpected direction becau

Is Halle Berry Coming to Television?

Image
The past several years have seen a notable migration of respected film actors and actresses making the transition to television work. One could argue that it may be due to lack of meaty enough roles (especially for women) or it could be the TV schedule makes more sense for people at a certain point in their career, but the fact remains that TV has seen (or will see soon) the likes of Glenn Close, Dustin Hoffman, and Laura Linney procuring their own shows with no end in sight to the trend. Another actress that may be heading to the small screen is Halle Berry, according to Deadline . There's a project that has Berry attached to it where the Oscar winner will be playing a college professor. There's no word on any other names attached on any plot details at this time. It wouldn't be Berry's first venture into television, as she's participated in several well-regarded television movies (Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Their Eyes Were Watching God) and miniseries' (

The Event May Not Be Dead Yet...

Image
When The Event was expectedly canceled last month, there were rumblings that the show wasn't finished yet, as there were reportedly several discussions going about bringing the show to Netflix or a cable network. I immediately wrote that off because a canceled show being brought back is a rare feat and I wasn't sure that a network would take a chance on The Event. However, I may be proven wrong as there's a strong contender to bring back the show in a slightly different format. Deadline is reporting that Syfy is currently in talks to bring The Event back to television, only this time as a miniseries. There are no details as to who would be coming back, for how long, or how many episodes the miniseries would last, but the network is reportedly hammering out the financial details to see if it would make sense to continue doing the show. Deadline also mentions that Syfy has interest in Fox's much hyped Locke & Key, a pilot that seemed like a lock (ha) to be picked u

Doctor Who Spoiler - Fall Premiere Title Revealed! (And It Will Leave You Talking)

Image
Steven Moffat's reign over Doctor Who is getting stranger and stranger, and you know what? I love it. With mid-series finale "A Good Man Goes to War" airing Saturday in the U.K., what's going to happen once the Doctor and his pals return in the fall? Well, the only information we really have now is the title, and it's a doozy. It's unlike any title the revitalized show has ever had. Are you ready? "Let's Kill Hitler." No, I'm not joking. That's really the title of the second part of the story set up by "A Good Man Goes to War," and it might just be the most out-of-left-field title the show has ever had. The title does tie into promotional trailers we've seen featuring Nazis, as well as set photos that include Rory and Amy in World War II era Germany. But what does this mean? We'll have to wait until "A Good Man Goes to War" airs. That episode reportedly has a massive cliffhanger that has been described as

Game of Thrones' Mark Addy on King Robert's Exit and the Upcoming Power Struggle

Image
While Ned's (Sean Bean) betrayal to the Lannisters at the hands of Littlefinger (Aiden Gillen) was probably the biggest talking point of "You Win or You Die," episode seven of HBO's Game of Thrones, something else happened in that episode: King Robert (Mark Addy) died. His death was handled rather quickly to make room for the bigger power play that was about to go down, but after being gored by a boar while hunting and trying his darndest to give Ned the title of Protector of the Realm until Joffrey came of age, Robert Baratheon died, quietly, offscreen. And then all hell broke loose. His younger brother Renly escaped King's Landing on horseback (don't worry, we'll see him later) and his older brother Stannis is currently the rightful heir to the throne (we'll see him as well), but Mark Addy's tenure on the show is finished. Talking to Access Hollywood, Addy shared on the king's death and what's in store for the future of Game of Thrones.

The Blake Lively Nude Photo Scandal: What's the Truth?

Image
Recently, Perez Hilton published some censored nude photos of what appears to be Gossip Girl's Blake Lively. In the photos, she's using a cell phone and a mirror to photograph herself. Naturally, it was all over the internet in about five minutes. This is certainly not the first time an actress has had a nude photo scandal. Look at Vanessa Hudgens, who went through this a little while ago. But Hudgens admitted she had taken the photos of herself and they got leaked on the internet. Blake Lively....not so much. Her publicist has told E!Online that Blake absolutely, positively, did not take those photos. "The photos of Blake Lively which have just surfaced on various websites including Perez Hilton and Zap2it.com are 100 percent FAKE," her rep told E! News. "Blake has never taken nude photos of herself. Blake will pursue legal action against the publication which initially published these photographs and any other outlets that republish them in any man

White Collar Guest Star News and Spoilers

Image
Season 3 of White Collar begins next week and just in time to amp up the excitement for the return of everybody's favorite con artist Neal Caffrey(Matt Bomer), it has been announced that Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dollhouse, Tru Calling) will be guest starring in at least one episode. This sees Dushku being reunited with her former co-star Matt Bomer who played her ill fated love interest on the short lived (but very enjoyable) Tru Calling. Dushku won't appear until midway through the season where she will shake things up for Neal in the romance department. Last season we saw Neal embark on a romantic liaison with insurance investigator Sara Ellis (Hilarie Burton), who he flirted it up with for most of season 2 and finally hooked up with at the end of last year. This union looks like it will continue in to season 3, but by the time that Dushku makes her appearance they will have hit a rough patch and have broken up at this point. Dushku and Matt Bomer have some g
