According to The Hollywood Reporter , FX flagship drama Sons of Anarchy has found its next prospect in actor Niko Nicotera. Nicotera, whose career has been a slew of TV movies (The Curse of King Tut's Tomb) and guest spots (Rome), is said to play a major character named Ratboy who is interested in joining the crew. Nicotera joins Rockmond Dunbar (Terriers) and Fernanda Andrade as guest stars for the show's upcoming fourth season, scheduled to premiere this September. Sons of Anarchy made another huge leap in success last season, winning Katey Sagal a Golden Globe, adorning many a critics top ten list, and continuing to be the channel's highest rated show. The season 2 premiere, entitled "It's Alive" will be picking up shortly after the season 1 finale of Pretty Little Liars left off. On a busy night of reality tv finales - Hines Ward was winning mirror balls, losers were determining who was bigger and Idols were singing countless rounds of country music, The Voice conducted its third set of Battle Rounds. Each coach continued to pick off their valued team members as they determine the four each of them will push into the live performance round. I have been pretty critical of this show in recent weeks for numerous reasons: the contestants appear secondary to the coaches, the insistence that the coaches aren’t judges, the lack of any coaching actually making it to the screen and the counterproductive “Battle Round” format itself. While each of those criticisms stand, this week, however, at least some coaching was evident, although the input of the coaches and their trusted (and largely useless advisors) resulted in the worst battle performance to date and three mediocre ones. We got a peek at the new CW series, The Secret Circle, during the network's recent Upfront presentation . The new show, produced by Vampire Diaries showrunner, Kevin Williamson, is based on a series of books also written by the author of the Vampire Diaries novels. The Secret Circle stars Britt Robertson (Life Unexpected), Thomas Dekkar (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), and Gale Harold (most recently on Hellcats). Now we have a six minute long trailer, which reveals a lot of important details about the pilot episode. It begins with Robertson's character, Cassie. Driving home one night, she gets a flat tire. Her mother, at home alone, is killed in what's meant to look like an accidental house fire. The man who killed her? Well, you can clearly see him below. Last night, it came down to three women finalists on The Biggest Loser. Two sisters were among the finalists - Olivia and Hannah - as well as a third woman, Irene. But it was Olivia Ward, the 35 year old opera singer, who took home the top prize. Olivia weighed 261 pounds when she started the competition, and ended at a weight of 132 pounds. That accounted for a total loss of 49.43 percent. She narrowly beat out her sister Hannah (who went from 248 pounds to 128 pounds), as well as Irene. This was the first time in the history of the show that the top three finalists were comprised entirely of women, but Olivia ended up walking home with the top honor and a $250,000 prize. The in-home game, meanwhile, was won by Deni, who dropped 125 pounds and took home the $100,000 prize. She was originally the seventh person vote off, but continued on the program after leaving the ranch. In somewhat of an upset or not, depending on who’s side you were on, Chelsea Kane & Mark Ballas were the first eliminated, leaving Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy in 2nd place. Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick is in talks to star in the new adaptation of Romeo and Juliet; trading in one bad boy for another as he goes from playing Chuck Bass to Tybalt Capulet, Juliet's cousin who is the villain of the Shakespearean tragedy. Variety is reporting that Westwick is in final talks for this pivotal role, which was last played on the big screen by John Leguizamo in Baz Luhrmann's 1996 Romeo + Juliet. This version turned this traditional play in to a big screen spectacle using the original dialogue but in a modern setting and it is hard to see how this Romeo and Juliet might overshadow Luhrmann's extraordinary effort which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes in the title roles. Though it does appear that this latest take will be be set in Verona, Italy which is the original setting of the play, returning it to tradition. Italian director Carlo Carlei will be at the helm and British writer/actor Julian Fellowes is writing the adaptation of the play. Fell
