Price Wise: Ash She Declares It!


The mindblowing figures sent ur head reeling! While Priyanka Chopra demands a kool Rs 6 crore ('Pyaar Impossible'), Kangna Ranaut sweetly purrs quoting Rs 5 crore (forthcoming Chirag Paswan starrer), and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's reported asking fee for 'Crooked' had escalated to a kool Rs 10 crore!

As per industry whispers, Ash's fee for the flick is way beyond it!! Even as these pecuniary rumours gather momentum, trade analysts are clucking their collective tongues over the issue… and pooh poohing all such bombastic figures.

A prominent trade analyst asserts, "The remuneration of a film's star cast works out to about 40 to 45 per cent of the film's budget. The leading man takes about 25 per cent and the remaining 20 per cent takes care of the heroine, second lead actors and character artistes."

Declares he, "All such figures that heroines have been quoting are a mere eye wash. It's actually the heroine's PR machinery which does a super job of quoting these astronomical figures to the media. Only the producer and heroine know the actual truth."

Guys, go figure…
