Hot n' happening in Bollywood
Mallika Sherawat's doesn't seem to be leaving any stone unturned to make her presence felt in Hollywood. After a steamy lip- lock with co- star Laz Alonso ( of Avatar fame) in her upcoming film Love, Barrack, Mallika has now shot a sexy car wash sequence for the same film in itsy- bitsy clothing.
Check out the movie pictures to know what we are talking about. And then, of course, there are the controversial scenes from her other Hollywood project 'Hisss', wherein she plays a wily serpent woman.
Well, for the kind of furore she had created in this part of the globe with her skimpy attire before hopping on to Hollywood, Mallika's antics in the US come as little surprise! In the political comedy Love, Barrack, Mallika plays a volunteer coordinator on the presidential campaign.
Rani & YRF go separate ways
Looks like Rani Mukherji and Yash Raj Films are unlucky for each other. After multiple flops such as Tara Rum Pum, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Dil Bole Hadippa etc, YRF's once- upon- atime lucky mascot Rani has reportedly exited from the banner. It should be remembered that the actress was previously seen only in films produced by YRF, none of which did anything good for her.
YRF has been going through a bad patch with most of its films since the hit Chak De! India bombing at the box office. Last year's New York was the only saving grace for the production house.
Even the entry into TV early this year proved a damp squib for YRF as none of the serials produced by them made a splash, as far as TRPs are concerned.
The production house is now desperate for some good scripts and is leaving no stone unturned to regain its lost glory. Rani, too, after her string of flops, needs a hit and a meaningful film to suit her talent. But nothing worthwhile seems to be coming her way either.
According to sources, the actress has now acquired a slim figure and is looking forward to suitable roles.
Let's wait and watch whether YRF's upcoming release, the Shahid Kapur- Anushka Sharma starrer Badmaash Company, turns its fortunes. Looks unlikely but here's wishing them all the best! And Rani too.
Shruti has her nose in the air
Her debut Hindi film hardly got her any 'luck', but Shruti Haasan seems already atop a high horse. Remember the old K. Balachander classic Ek Duje Ke Liye starring Rati Agnihotri and Shruti's dad and prolific actor Kamal, who was then a new face in Hindi cinema? Well, a filmmaker has now approached Shruti and Rati's son with a similar script.
While Rati and son are said to be agog at the project, Shruti is taking her own sweet time to decide. In fact, she hasn't even bothered to respond to the filmmaker! We guess Kamal should teach his daughter to be more professional while dealing with filmmakers, before it's too late.
